Eco waste collection points
Who can use them:
Eco waste collection points are exclusively intended for second-home owners in the municipalities covered by the agreement.
[Note: Residents already benefit from door-to-door collection services and local recycling centers.]
How to use them:
- With CRS (Regional Services Card), which must be scanned using the designated reader;
- With a QR CODE for users who do not have a CRS.
The QR CODE must be requested from the Municipal Offices where the property is located.
Each Eco waste collection point can be used up to a maximum of 5 times per month, as the target users are non-resident tourists or second-home owners who cannot benefit from the door-to-door collection system.
The Eco waste collection points allow disposal of the following 5 types of waste:
- Organic waste
- Glass and cans
- Paper and cardboard
- Mixed (residual) waste (to be disposed of in designated bags)
- Plastic (to be disposed of in designated bags)
Where the eco-islands are located:
- CASALZUIGNO: Arcumeggia area
- CASTELVECCANA: lakeside area, Caldè locality, parking near the rowing club
- CURIGLIA: Monteviasco cable car parking, Mulini di Piero
- DUMENZA: Via Volta parking area
- DUNO: Piazza Malcotti
- GERMIGNAGA: Via San Giovanni, near the bus stop
- MACCAGNO CON PINO E VEDDASCA: Giona Park parking area
- MESENZANA: cycle path parking, Via Provinciale 82
- MONTEGRINO: Via Fabiasco parking area, near Bosco Valtravaglia sports field
- ORINO: Via S. Lorenzo (in front of Villa Belvedere)
